He died at Adams Run." / Unsure whether this was the battle of Adams Run, SC (1862); or a battle on 31 March 1865 near Hatchers Run, VA ("Battle of South Side RR, VA" or "Battle of Adams Run, VA"), in the Appomattox Campaign. If the latter, then he died just before Lee's surrender on 9 Apr 1865 at Appomattox Courthouse.
