| Notes: | Dr. James Marshall McClanahan, M.D., CSA, is included as a tribute. During the Civil War, Dr. McClanahan served in the 2nd SC Cavalry Regiment - Co. K, rising from Corporal to Sergeant during the conflict. He was a physician in Oconee Co., South Carolina after the war. He married Mary Evelyn Verner (1845-1912). Descendants of Dr. J. M. McClanahan's sister, Annette G. McClanahan and her husband Nathan Andrew Feaster carry names that recall various ancestral branches of the McClanahan and Verner famlies.
