Mrs. Willa Cato Yonce, of Johnston, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002. The funeral was at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, with the Rev. J. Chris Fischer officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Yonce, a native of Ridge Spring, was a daughter of the late Elliott and Willa Sawyer Cato. She was a homemaker and longtime columnist for The Citizen News. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Margaret Yonce Ward, Martinez, Ga.; and three sisters, Malinda Ergle, North Charleston, Evelyn Lewis, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Marian Duncan, Batesburg. She was predeceased by her husband, Wiley B. Yonce. Memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1186 Mt. Calvary Road, Johnston, SC 29832. |
