Her mother was Jeannette Twichell, second wife of Jacob N. Feaster. The likely inspiration for Julia's given name is her aunt Julia Feaster Coleman whose nearby home was the cultural center of the extended family in Florida. The other Julia (first) born to Jacob Norris Feaster started life about 1854 in ante-bellum South Carolina. Her mother was known as Mrs. Amelia Boozer, who separated from Jacob N. Feaster during the Civl War. |
