Notes:	John Wesley Threatt, Jr. was about 3 years old when his father, John Wesley Threatt died in 1880. J.F. Myers (husband of J.W's elder sister, Sallie Threatt) was named guardian of J.W., J.A., and Laura Threatt. H.D. Tiller (probate judge) was named guardian of Janie Threatt (packet #437, settled 1892). The records are listed in the Court of Probate, Chesterfield Co., South Carolina, and are available through the SC State Archives, Columbia, SC. J.W. Threatt, Jr. was a pillar of his church. He donated property for the Buffalo Baptist church which still stands in Kershaw Co., today, east of the Camden-Kershaw road.
