Text: Notes for CLAIBORN JORDAN: The Industrial Schedule of the 1850 Census lists Claiborn Jordan as the owner of a saw and grist mill, with capital invested in real and personal estate of $2500. He employed two males at an average monthly cost of $25. The annual product of the mill was lumber, meal, and flour with an annual value of $1000.
