Died at His Post.
Mr. W. Robert Bruce of Buford Township, died last Sunday afternoon of a congestive chill. Mr. Bruce had long had a premonition that when death claimed him it would come suddenly and without warning. Such was almost the case. He was superintendant of Sandy Ridge Baptist Sunday school. In company with his brother from Kershaw, S.C. who was visiting him, he had gone to church about 10 o'clock that morning. He was up making a talk to the Sunday school when he became faint and called to his brother to assist him to a seat. He lost consciousness and never recovered. He was taken to the home of Mr. William Griffin, who lives near the church. A physician was summoned but did not arrive until after death had come.
