Text: [Newspaper unknown] The Death of Mrs. Laura Hammond Bruce Mrs. Laura Bruce, widow of the late Mr. Robert Bruce of Buford township, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. L. Belk, on Monday afternoon, May 13, 1929. Mrs. Bruce was born March 10, 1843 near Westville, S.C. She was married to Mr. Robert Bruce in January, 1873. To this union two sons and three daughters were born. The sons are: Wesley Bruce of Greenville, S.C., Joseph Bruce of Palm Harbor, Fla., and the daughters, Mrs. Henry Pace of Kershaw, S. C., Mrs. Robert L. Belk and Mrs. James A. Lowery. Mrs. Bruce had for a quarter of century or more lived in the Trinity community and was a faithful member of the Trinity Methodist church. She was a most excellent (lady). Interment was in the Laney cemetery, Tuesday at 3:30 o'clock, following funeral services at the church conducted by Rev. R. J. Mellwai--.
