| Notes: | We seek confirmation of information from Death Certificate #14643 of Mrs. W. C. Middleton (Emily S.Threatt), which lists her father as Miles Threatt and her mother as <<Emily Threatt.>>. Obituaries of later children of Miles Threatt show the mother as Rachel Laney. It is plausible that Emily S.Threatt might have had a different mother, because Rachel Laney's birthdate (per tombstone) indicates that she would have been scarcely 12 in about December, 1855 when Emily S. Threatt was conceived. The informant for death certificate was G.W. Threatt, most likely her younger brother George Wilson Threatt. |
