Emma Hilton Dolan, of Del Rio, Texas, a county native, died Tuesday, March 9 [1999]. Born in Kershaw County in 1902, she taught school in the area for 25 years. Surviving are a daughter with whom she lived recently, Molly Cummings of Del Rio; two grandchildren, Cara C. Madison of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Brian Cummings of Port Aransas, Texas; and a great-granddaughter, Ardis Crocker of Austin, Texas. Graveside services will be held Thursday at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Del Rio. Memorials may be made to Damascus United Methodist Church in Westville or to a charity of one's choice.
