Per Malcolm Murffe E-mail correspondence:

"The parents of Anna Murff were:
Hans Jacob Morff (b-16 Nov 1708 in Effretikon, Switzerland) and Elisabetha Bosshart (b-abt 1710 in Kloten, Switzerland).
They were married in 1733 and arrived in SC with ten children. This large family was then eligible to receive 500 acres through a land grant, which they did. Anna was born on 15 April 1742 in Switzerland and died in SC in 1831.
/
"She married John Geiger in 1767; but had married a Mr Ruff before she married John Geiger.

"My sources include: "Morf Family of Illnau, Zurich Canton, Switzerland" by Julius Billiter. Mr Billiter (1869-1957) was of Swiss descent but came to Salt Lake City (LDS) for awhile before returning to Switzerland where he compiled the family history of over 1200 families. Any enclyclopedia can give further elaboration on Mr. Billiter. His report on the Morf family is available through any LDS church branch library. The LDS microfilm # is 1181509.
/
"My second source is from a Mr Leonardo Andreas, a professional genealogist that lived in Columbia, SC until death in about 1973. After his death, his daughter, Connie, permitted the LDS folks to copy all of his individual family files, which numbered in the hundreds. He compiled three files on the Murph/Murff history."
