| Notes: | John Geiger, youngest son of Herman Geiger, is mentioned in the will of his father dated 20 Oct 1751: "ALSO I give and _ _ unto my youngest son John and to his heirs and assigns forever one tract of Land containing one hundred and fifty acres lying on the N. side of Broad River Purchased of Michael Poner also a tract of fifty actes of Land adjoyning thereto which I bought of Peter Smith..." The will of John Geiger is dated 6/18/1816 and was proved 9/18/1817, Lexington District, SC (per http://www.kaigler.org/FourthGenerationMain.html - - John Geiger's family had strong links by marriage to the Kaigler family of Lexington Co., SC). Per research on "Culpepper Connections": John Geiger and other young children of Herman Geiger were raised by Herman's widow Elizabeth who remarried to John Gallman, named an executor of Herman Geiger's will.
